BRAD CHARCHENKO HEAD COACH
As one of the founding members of the LN Clay Target Team, Brad is entering his tenth season as the Head Coach for the Panthers. His passion and commitment to youth sports can be seen by his involvement with coaching various Lakeville youth sports for nearly two decades. Hockey, soccer, softball, baseball, track and field and clay target sports. Coach Brad is CLASS Certified from the USA High School Clay Target League, NRA/ATA Shotgun Coach Level 1 Certified, NRA Range Safety Officer and a MN DNR Certified Firearms Safety Instructor. On the line, Brad is helping our athletes fine tune their skills and help develop them into accurate and consistent clay target athletes. An avid clay target athlete himself, Coach Brad's focus is ensuring a safe environment and providing each athlete with the feedback and instruction they need to succeed.
RICK "CRIP" CRIPPEN ASSISTANT COACH
Coach "Crip" grew up hunting with his dad and grandfather and is proud to be part of a unique opportunity to share clay target sports with LN students. Crip's goal is to provide each student with a safe, positive, and fun experience that they will carry with them for many years to come. Entering his tenth season, Crip is proud to be one of the founding members of the LN Clay Target Team.
JAY EDWARDS SQUAD COACH
Jay is a Burnsville High School graduate and received his Law Enforcement degree while living in Rochester, MN. He was a Detention/Deputy Sheriff for Olmsted County for 7 years and is currently working as a Project Manager for a security systems integrator in Burnsville. Jay enjoys hunting, camping and dirt biking year-round. Jay is very excited to be a part of the CORE Team and looks forward to helping all athletes achieve everything they want out of this sport.
LINCOLN JOHNSON SQUAD COACH
Lincoln was born in Crookston MN and grew up in Mound MN. At age 12, Lincoln was a regular at a sportsman’s club in Mound and has never looked back. He attended Mayer Lutheran High School and went on to become a Business Manager in the automotive industry which he has been in for 30 years and is currently employed at Freeway Ford in Bloomington. Lincoln enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities - hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s and camping. Lincoln has one son on the team. Lincoln has been a part of the CORE Team since 2021. He enjoys helping kids grow their confidence and skills. Lincoln understands the importance of passing down this lifelong skill to others.
LESLIE JOHNSON TREASURER
Leslie began her role as the team Treasurer in 2017. She brings several years of experience serving as a treasurer with many other local organizations. She has been instrumental in setting our business structure and organizational direction. Leslie enjoys watching her boys compete with the team.
JEFF "KELLY" KELLINGTON ASSISTANT COACH
Retired with 25 + years in the United States Air Force, Coach Kelly currently holds NRA/ATA Shotgun Coaching Level 1 and NRA Range Safety Officer Certification. A 1979 graduate of Lakeville High School, he enjoys the outdoors having been introduced to hunting at the age of 11 by his father. As one of the founding members of the LN Clay Target Team in his tenth season, he enjoys the opportunity to help our athletes learn, expand and widen their knowledge clay target sports, good sportsmanship and the responsibility of safety that goes with it, while having a fun and enjoyable experience that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.
GREGG BOEKE ASSISTANT COACH
Gregg’s early enjoyment of the outdoors introduced him to firearms at a young age. This shaped his career by enrolling in a 2 year Gunsmithing Program in Trinidad, CO, followed by 8 years as a Custom Gunmaker. He is an avid hunter pursuing big game across much of North America. Currently that focus is on waterfowl and upland birds in southern Canada and Upper Midwest with his two Chesapeakes. Gregg has been a part of the CORE Team since 2015. He excels at helping athletes develop safe, effective decision-making skills to enjoy for a lifetime.
JAY PLANTE SQUAD COACH
Jay is excited to join the CORE Team in his first season as a Squad Coach. Jay is a Missouri native who spent 10 years in the Navy doing Electronic Warfare and was a team member of the Visit Board Search and Seizure team boarding ships in the Persian Gulf. During the past 23 years, Jay has been in a variety of Human Resources Management positions and is looking forward to expanding his knowledge and skills in clay target sports. Since 2009, Jay has been taking part in an annual tradition of pheasant hunting opening weekend in South Dakota with the same group of friends. Jay looks forward to helping athletes develop their decision-making skills both on and off the range and helping to create safe and respectful environment for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Please welcome Chris and Natalie Walker as our new Co-Treasurers. They will work closely with our current Treasurer on a transition of responsibilities. Their daughter Elena has been on the team for the past 3 years.
