2026 CORE TEAM
Established in 2013, the Lakeville North Panthers Clay Target Team was formed by a group of volunteers known as the Core Team.
The Core Team is comprised of dedicated individuals that share a passion to succeed and offer the best experience possible for our athletes.
Core Team positions are 100% volunteer non-paid positions.

BRAD CHARCHENKO
HEAD COACH 
Coach Brad is a founding member of the LN Clay Target Team and is entering his 14th season as Head Coach of the Panthers. With more than two decades of experience coaching Lakeville youth sports, Brad brings a deep passion for athlete development and a broad background that includes hockey, soccer, softball, baseball, track and field, and clay target sports.
A highly credentialed coach, Brad is CLASS Certified through the USA High School Clay Target League, NRA/ATA Shotgun Coach Level 1 Certified, an NRA Range Safety Officer, and a Minnesota DNR Certified Firearms Safety Instructor. On the line, he works closely with athletes to refine technique, build consistency, and develop confidence in their abilities. As an avid clay target athlete himself, Brad places the highest priority on safety, discipline, and individualized instruction, ensuring every athlete receives the guidance and feedback needed to succeed—both in competition and beyond. ASSISTANT COACH 
Coach Crip brings a lifelong passion for clay target sports to the LN Clay Target Team. Having grown up hunting alongside his father and grandfather, he values both the tradition and responsibility that come with the sport. As a founding member of the program and now entering his 14th season of coaching, Coach Crip is proud to help provide LN athletes with a safe, positive, and enjoyable experience. His goal is to ensure every athlete builds skills, confidence, and lasting memories that extend well beyond their time on the team.
JAY PLANTE
SQUAD COACH 
Jay is excited to join the CORE Team for his second season as a Squad Coach. A Missouri native, he brings a distinguished background that includes 10 years of service in the U.S. Navy, where he specialized in Electronic Warfare and was a team member of the Visit Board Search and Seizure team boarding ships in the Persian Gulf. Over the past 25 years, Jay has held a variety of Human Resources leadership roles, building strong expertise in people development and organizational effectiveness. Since 2009, he has maintained an annual tradition of pheasant hunting opening weekend in South Dakota with the same group of friends. Jay is passionate about helping athletes develop sound decision making skills both on and off the range, while fostering a safe, respectful environment that supports a lifetime of enjoyment in the sport.

JEFF "KELLY" KELLINGTON
ASSISTANT COACH 
Coach Kelly is a retired United States Air Force veteran with more than 25 years of service. He holds NRA/ATA Shotgun Coaching Level 1 certification and is a certified NRA Range Safety Officer. A 1979 graduate of Lakeville High School, Coach Kelly has enjoyed the outdoors from a young age, having been introduced to hunting by his father at age 11. As a founding member of the LN Clay Target Team and now in his 14th season, he is passionate about helping athletes learn, grow, and expand their knowledge of clay target sports. He emphasizes good sportsmanship and the responsibility of safety, while ensuring a fun and rewarding experience that athletes can carry with them throughout their lives.
GREGG BOEKE
SENIOR ADVISOR 
Gregg developed a passion for the outdoors and firearms at a young age, setting the foundation for a lifelong career in the industry. He formalized his expertise through a two-year Gunsmithing Program in Trinidad, Colorado, and went on to spend eight years as a custom gunmaker. An avid hunter, Gregg has pursued big game across much of North America and now focuses on waterfowl and upland birds in southern Canada and the Upper Midwest alongside his two Chesapeake hunting dogs. A member of the CORE Team since 2015, Gregg brings over a decade of experience to the role, excelling at helping athletes build safe, effective decision-making skills they can rely on for a lifetime.
NATALIE WALKER
TREASURER Natalie is entering her third season as Treasurer, bringing several years of experience from a variety of volunteer roles with local organizations. Her expertise and dedication will be instrumental in shaping our business structure and guiding the organization’s direction as we continue to grow.
